Eri Tushar is a domesticated non-mulberry silk from Assam obtained from silk worms that feed on castor leaves. As the silkworm spins open-ended cocoons, the moth leaves through the opening, unlike other silks. The resultant texture of the woven fabric from Eri is supple with a beautiful sheen.
The colour of the saree is natural, original colour of Tushar, not dyed colour.
